Wanda Nieves

An accomplished Chief Operating Officer with more than 35 years of experience, Wanda is a go-to professional at the Law Offices of Joseph & Norinsberg LLC. Referred to as the firm’s “quarterback”, Wanda has been a pivotal part of the team since the firm’s inception, handling all the complexities associated with the non-legal part of the practice so the attorneys can focus on their clients. Her business and management acumen and can-do spirit make her an invaluable asset.

Assertive and enthusiastic, Wanda’s extensive knowledge of process optimization combines with her unsurpassed work ethic. Her full slate of business and management skills include operational expertise, financial management, marketing, human resources, reporting and compliance, and client relations, particularly for the firm’s Spanish clients, a language in which Wanda is fluent.

Wanda previously served as the Assistant Director of Economic Development for the City of Yonkers in Westchester County, responsible for planning, administrating, coordinating and managing the city’s economic development programs and annual budget.  New marketing programs designed to promote the city were her responsibility and she also managed a team of 20 and facilitated payment to outside consultants.

Working at a law firm like that of Joseph & Norinsberg, there are many “fires” that must be put out every day, Wanda thrives on the pressure that she faces at work. “I take care of it all so Jon and the other attorneys are free to practice law,” says Wanda.

There is no task that is too small or too big for Wanda to handle. “Jon is the conductor of this symphony and I am his con-conductor,” she adds. “Teamwork like this makes a firm successful.”

Wanda graduated with a BBA from Baruch College and is actively involved in various volunteer programs that focus on advancing Hispanic education in New York City. She lives in Queens and cites her son and daughter as her proudest personal accomplishments.
