Recep Cem Teber is a Litigation Law Clerk in the firm’s World Trade Center office, where he supports the attorneys on employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblower matters. Cem assists with mediation submissions, damages analyses, evidentiary exhibits, client communication, and the organization of medical and employment records. His work also includes conducting targeted legal research, preparing draft pleadings, motions, and related litigation documents, responding to discovery requests, and helping ensure that case materials remain accurate, complete, and strategically aligned.
Before joining the firm, Cem practiced in Istanbul as a trial attorney handling employment and civil litigation, including workplace discrimination cases and various trial proceedings. He also gained experience in criminal defense counseling, representing clients who had experienced mistreatment or discriminatory harm before the courts.
In the United States, Cem contributed to humanitarian immigration work through a city-supported legal services initiative, assisting individuals facing discrimination or other forms of harm in developing factual records, shaping case strategy, and preparing documentation for their immigration benefits.
He holds an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and an LL.B. from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law. Cem is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association and is currently preparing for the New York bar exam.
Outside the office, Cem enjoys swimming, playing and watching soccer, and spending time with his family. He brings the same balanced and disciplined approach to his work, contributing positively to the firm’s team culture and its mission of advocating for employees.
