John J. Meehan, a noted civil-rights and trial attorney, has been employed at the Law Offices of Jon L. Norinsberg since 2012.

In 2017 Mr. Meehan was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. Mr. Meehan has tried multiple cases to verdict, and has been in integral part of the Norinsberg trial team that has time and time again won millions of dollars in verdicts for its clients. Mr. Meehan was recently featured in Spike TV’s Time: The Kalief Browder Story, a six- part documentary produced by Jay-Z chronicling the abuses of the New York City criminal justice system.

Mr. Meehan received his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2012. Mr. Meehan is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Meehan is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, as well as the New York County Lawyers Association.

Disability Discrimination

The plaintiff was a hedgefund executive terminated due to disability discrimination. We were able to substantially increase his severance offer due to the threat of arbitration.

Client was sexually harassed by her boss, and physically assaulted when she denied his advances. We were able to secure compensation for several years of lost wages, and emotional distress, and compensation for the physical assault.

Sexual Harassment
