Kayla M. Wheeler, Esq. is a dedicated plaintiff-side employment attorney focused on vindicating the rights of workers. She is admitted in the States of New York and New Jersey.
Kayla began her journey in law with a commitment to advocating for marginalized communities and ensuring workplace fairness. She graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2022, where she was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship and served as a member of the Travis H.D. Lewin Advocacy Honor Society. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Kayla’s practice areas include federal and state discrimination matters, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour law, and wrongful termination. She has experience litigating cases in state and federal court, as well as pursuing claims through mediation and arbitration. Prior to her current practice, she served as Assistant General Counsel in the Employment Law Unit at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she conducted investigations and prosecuted employment disciplinary matters at administrative hearings.
