Former Senior Executive to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Files Federal Lawsuit Alleging Years‑Long Campaign of Retaliation, Harassment, and Witness Intimidation
Joseph & Norinsberg LLC has filed a federal lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on behalf of a former senior executive who alleges she was subjected to years of retaliation, harassment, and intimidation after refusing to engage in unlawful conduct.
The complaint, brought by Monique Mayers, names Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as the defendant. Mayers worked closely with Jackson for nearly twelve years in senior operational roles across several of his business entities, including G-Unit Records, G-Unit Touring, G-Unit Film & Television, and Sire Spirits, LLC.
The case has drawn attention from major news outlets and legal publications, including TMZ, Billboard, and Morningstar.
Allegations of Retaliation for Refusing to Participate in Illegal Conduct
According to the lawsuit, Mayers was asked to engage in conduct she believed to be unlawful, including participating in transactions intended to conceal assets during Jackson’s bankruptcy proceedings. The complaint further alleges that she was pressured to file a false police report accusing a company employee of theft involving both a vehicle and approximately $600,000 in cash. Mayers refused to participate in either request.
Shortly thereafter, she was terminated in 2019.
Claims of Ongoing Harassment and Intimidation
The lawsuit describes a pattern of alleged harassment that began following her termination and continued for several years. According to the filing, Mayers received more than 80 harassing phone calls and text messages from dozens of different phone numbers.
The complaint also details incidents that escalated over time, including repeated early-morning calls and messages that Mayers interpreted as threatening.
In one instance cited in the complaint, she received multiple predawn calls accompanied by a voicemail message stating, “Bang bang, I shot you down.” The filing alleges that similar conduct occurred again exactly one year later under nearly identical circumstances.
Allegations of Witness Intimidation and Legal Pressure
The complaint further asserts that Jackson’s conduct extended into legal proceedings involving third-party investigations.
In 2021, Mayers was identified as a potential witness in connection with a federal investigation involving an employee of Sire Spirits. As a result, she was subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury.
According to the lawsuit, prior to a 2024 deposition related to a separate civil matter, Jackson allegedly made statements that Mayers interpreted as threats. During that same deposition, questioning allegedly veered into unrelated and highly sensitive topics, which the complaint characterizes as an attempt to intimidate her.
The filing also notes that concerns about Mayers’ safety were raised during court proceedings, with a judge reportedly escalating the matter to court officers.
Legal Claims and Damages Sought
The lawsuit asserts multiple causes of action, including:
- Intentional infliction of emotional distress
- Invasion of privacy
Mayers is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as injunctive relief to prevent further alleged misconduct.
“Curtis Jackson has cultivated a public persona as ’50 Cent’ built on highly publicized feuds and attacks on former associates, but as alleged in the complaint, this conduct is not performance, and it has real‑world consequences,” said Bennitta Joseph, Founding Partner of Joseph & Norinsberg LLC. “Mr. Jackson’s actions have caused serious harm to personal and professional lives and, in Ms. Mayers’ case, created a sustained and credible fear for her safety. The complaint details a pattern of conduct designed to intimidate, punish, and silence those who refuse to comply with Jackson’s demands.”
