Casey Wolnowski

Casey began his legal career in 2008 working at the United Nations focusing on international human rights (and namely, international rights of children). He thereafter served as senior principal law clerk for an appellate judge in Brooklyn for over four years, and worked for a federal judge in a New York federal district court in 2013. Since 2014, he has worked exclusively representing plaintiffs in civil rights and employment-related legal matters.

In 2016, he successfully argued the case of Vasquez v. Empress Ambulance Service before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Regarding this appeal, in an Opinion authored by Hon. Guido Calabresi, the Second Circuit reversed the District Court and addressed three first impression issues concerning “Cat’s Paw” liability, finding in the employee’s favor on each.

Casey represents plaintiffs in civil rights and employment matters at Joseph & Norinsberg, bringing extensive litigation experience and a strong commitment to protecting employees’ and individuals’ rights.
